A Note from Brother Barrett;
I hope that all of you are preparing for the National Day of Prayer, that will take
Place on Thursday, May 2, 2013! It will be held at the Holmes County Court House
In Bonifay. Hotdogs and drinks will be provided at 11:30 AM, “Colors” will be
presented at 12;05 PM. Our focused prayer time will begin shortly afterward.
This event is being sponsored by the Holmes County Ministerial Association.
We will be praying for our Nation, States, Counties, local Leaders and several
of our local Leadership will be participating with us. I realize there will be
many that are constrained by work responsibilities and previous commitments,
but, I would encourage you to make an effort to participate with us.
Please remember to take moment this week to spend some time in prayer for
our West Florida Pregnancy Center, our director, Mrs. Mary Ann Rockburn,
and all the volunteers. I know personally of several congregations that
have supported them with contributions recently and this would be a
great time to remember their effort as we consider the needs locally
and nationally.
Pastor Breakfast … did occur Monday, April 29, 2013
We had originally thought there would be no meeting. I apologize for the misleading
informationand the conclusion that I would be unable to attend. Incidentally, I
shared with those who were there this last Monday, Connie is scheduled for an Echo
Cardiagram on Thursday (4/25), and Pacemaker replacement sometime 5/6/13. She has
a “lead” that isn’t functioning properly and is due for the replacement in about
six months anyway which has led her Doctor to decide we need to go ahead with
the procedure. I would certainly appreciate your prayer at this time!
Evangelism Outreach Event!!!!
The Evangelism Team of the Holmes Baptist Association has been working hard and
Pastor Shelly has worked an invitation for us to Host a Regional
Evangelism Conference in collaboration with David Burton of the Florida
Baptist Convention.
The Date has been confirmed and we need to begin praying for a “visitation,
not just of our portion of the State of Florida, but, The LORD HIMSELF . . .
The dates are for 2014, March 27 and 28. The effort was to choose the last
part of the week,hopefully to allow a little more convenience for our
bi-vocational Pastors.
Even now we need pastors from EVERY church to volunteer their time
to work for this event. For more information, give Brother Barrett a

I had the privilege of visiting with Bethel B.C. last week and Pastor Kent Lampp
shared the Blessing of the Baptism of Three on Sunday 21st. Then, Pastor Clay
Hatcher called and invited me to “pinch hit”/Preach for their Tuesday Night Revival
Meeting (4/24) since Brother Chris Nelson was physically under the weather. Pray that
he will recover rapidly . . . and I have to confess mixed emotions, sadness that
my Brother in Christ was ill, and yet excited about the opportunity to preach!
